ROB ZOMBIE: 'A Great One Dies'

December 13, 2006

Musician/filmmaker Rob Zombie has issued the following statement:

"I just hear that actor Peter Boyle died last night. Peter was one of my favorite actors and appeared in so many amazing films I can't even count. If you only remember him from 'Everybody Loves Raymond' then I suggest you go watch 'Taxi Driver', 'Hardcore', 'Joe', 'Swashbuckler' or 'Young Frankenstein'.

"Sheri [Rob's wife] and I ran into him at a shopping mall many years ago and he was very cool. I still got the autograph."

Zombie recently mixed a new live album with producer Scott Humphrey for a tentative early 2007 release.

Rob Zombie's remake of the classic horror film "Halloween" is scheduled to hit theatres in October 2007. Shooting is scheduled to begin in January.

Zombie's previous credits as a screenwriter and director are 2003's "House of 1000 Corpses" and 2005's "The Devil's Rejects".
